To develop a comprehensive event management platform
Our Goal
A platform that empowered partners to independently create, manage, and track their events. This new system was crucial for the future scalability and efficiency of the product as a whole. In essence, this redesign would serve as a foundation for the core product's future direction. Leveraged Google Material's responsive framework to ensure a seamless user experience across all devices, from smartphones to desktops.
By adhering to Google Material's best practices, we created a consistent interface that facilitated efficient task completion, even for new or returning users. Through the strategic use of React and Material, we optimized our codebase, streamlining functionality and incorporating several 'surprise and delights' elements. This code efficiency resulted in faster page load times, providing significant value to our Partners, Operations, Sales, and Development teams.
According to our 2018 partner survey, 80% of our partners asked for a more mobile-friendly experience. We knew that our Ticketing Partners were busy, busy people - therefore, we wanted to make it faster and easier for them to report, manage, and create our products on-the-go. The biggest challenge about this effort would mean completely reworking a legacy ticketing system into a more modern, more efficient platform. Oh, did I mention? It also needed to be responsive.
